Power to the Potato Chip

Every piece of technology we surround ourselves with has a fatal flaw; power. In particular in our mobile devices are always limited by the amount of life in their small batteries. The holy grail of the mobile world is solving the issue of power and so Intel is developing “Claremont”, a near-threshold voltage (NTV) aka low power chip that can operate with electricity drawn from a tiny solar cell, lemon juice or even a potato.
For now Intel is leaving Claremont in the research stages with no commercial use planned. But soon we do expect to see
